aka Virva E. Auvinen was born in Helsinki, Finland. She graduated from the University of Helsinki as an art historian and has a  MA degree from the department of New Media Design and Production at the University of Art and Design of Helsinki. After living for some time in Bologna, Italy, where she attended several comic book creation courses, she moved to Berlin where she now lives with her family.

During the day she works at HERE Technology as a Sr Ux Designer, IoT Innovation Design team in Berlin, Germany. She follows and assists the teams in the whole product circle from concept to release. She is used to work with Agile Scrum teams in big multicultural organisations, like NOKIA and HERE Tecnologies as well as in small teams and start ups. She has been working in Italy, Finland, Germany and with virtual teams members situated around the globe. She creates quality designed experiensies that provides a joyfull way to discover past, present and future. 

Beside her daily work she is graphic novelist and illustrator working under the virva. brand. She draws her inspiration for her stories and illustrations from both the past and the present, capturing the feel of everyday life down the centuries.

Her graphic novel series 'Lady Isabella's secrets' is distribuited on Amazon world wide. 

Her private work has won several international awards.
